Deportation Laws

I  understand why people get angry about deportation laws, it ruins families. But, I never really am against or for these laws even as a son of undocumented parents. Could it be that because I am a citizen that I am more likely to not care because these laws don't apply to me? Am I a bad person for being this way?

  1. I believe that you are entitled to feel however you want and to care for whatever you choose to care for. Even though you are the child of undocumented parents, doesn't necessarily mean you have to care for deportation laws.

  2. I feel that it is up to you on how you feel about deportation laws. The reason why Immigrants come to this country is to get a better opportunity for themselves and their family. You are not a bad person for thinking this way it is your opinion.

  3. No one will understand why, except immigrants themselves. Definitely agree with Francisco and Christian; that you are entitled to feel however you feel. You don't have to get upset about them, but I feel like you should at least be aware of them and what they are.

  5. I feel like because of the current situation, deportation laws are coming up more often and catching more people's attention. When they do not apply to you, it is harder to give it as much attention and care as much, but it is still sad to see what could happen to people so close to you.
