4/20

-4/20 came from a group of Cali students in SF, that would look for the cannabis crop, around 4:20pm near the statue of Louis at their high school in San Rafael.  Their code to go look for the crop was "4:20 Louis," then changed over to just "420" a phrase changed to smoking pot
-in 1970 the phrase started to be picked up and used
-the term was spread and soon was excepted that 4:20 was an acceptable hour to smoke cannabis
-around the world 4/20 is a day where people can gather together and smoke pot, but it is mostly is given away on this day
-lots of people believe that it is to celebrate Bob Marley's death or Jimi Hendrix, neither of them died 4/20
-it's not a police code that people are smoking

  1. That's interesting that the code to look for the crop was 4:20 Louis then changed the phrase to 4/20. Its crazy how all this started from a group of kids looking for a cannabis crop.
