How has the media changed the way we see school shootings?
When I talk about the media I not only referring to the news programs but also social media like snap chat and Instagram and other social media platforms. When I first hear about the shooting in Florida and recently of the shooting in the YouTube headquarters, I got the notification on my phone about the shootings from the news (abc). Then I thought about how this was gonna blow up in social media and on tv with the news , but one of the things that I saw on social media that I saw that really upseted me was that there was people praising the shooter and they were feeling sorry for him because of what has happen to him his whole life. Which makes me angry because people then start to make lies and change the story to make it seem like the shooter is the victim and other people see this and they think if I do then people will like me. And we can already see this happening , people are starting to solve their problems with violence and aggression. We saw this in the YouTube shooting, and I know that they are separate things but they are both shootings and they both have people that support the shooters and that try and justify them which takes away the real reason why its being broadcasted, which is to tell the world about the tragedy that has happen.

I think that the media can switch up peoples words and stories. Like how people are making the boy the victims because of what happened to his family, that is no excuse for what he did and caused to other families and people.
