From what I have perceived throughout the O.J documentary, I think the largest failure that occurred in the first trial that let O.J go free was how the Prosecution handled and presented its evidence. The gathering and analysis of evidence at the crime scene was also heavily mishandled through the investigation, and was a large factor in what made O.J's defense able to remove or use most of the evidence as faulty, or twisting it to make it look like O.J wasn't involved. Although, what made most of the evidence null and void for the prosecution was the presenting and analysis of said evidence. For example, they gave O.J the glove from the crime scene to try on himself, in front of the court room, and essentially betting that it would fit on his hand. When he "attempted" to put the glove on his hand, he showed to the court room that he was having a hard time doing so, leaving a bad impression to the court room and plenty of room for the prosecution to turn the evidence around in their favor, and use it as evidence that O.J was not at fault in the case. If the prosecution decided to do this during the interrogation, they would have had the choice of not presenting it to the court room if he couldn't fit it on, but instead they did it in front of everyone. This was not the only event where evidence was put to the defenses side (not literally), as much of the evidence that was shown by the prosecution's forensics and other external evidence was put into question by the defense and, since most of it was mishandled and out of protocol, it was much easier for the defense to negate nay evidence they showed despite the overwhelming amount from the scene of the crime.
I think if they didn't show or give this evidence in the court room where the defense could easily put in doubt, and also presented them in a more understandable manor, they would have had a much stronger case to show in the court room for the prosecution.
I agree, I feel like if the prosecution presented the evidence more organized that would have easily won the case, they had so much evidence against OJ and they still lost.
