I was called a beaner my freshman year. I haven't seen any change. Racism is the root of all issues, we cant get rid of it. Therefore there will always be problems. But who is to blame?
We are to blame, we are the ones who stick to what society tells us each other are. The only way to get rid of it is if we put forth what we believe is right and truly treat one another as equal. Meaning we put aside the racial slurs we have adapted and accepted because society did, and become one. I know it is cheesy but we are the ones to blame.
