Party Over Pedophile
The case of Judge Roy Moore, who is an accused pedophile, is a curious one. A growing number of women have accused him of preying on them when they were teenagers. Despite all of these accusations, he has refused to drop out of the race, and still has the support of some of the Republican party as well as Donald Trump, who has refused to denounce Moore. The idea that people would choose to look past such despicable actions is downright disappointing, but the idea of people looking past major flaws just to vote for their party is not surprising. Parties have continued to ruin politics as people will blindly vote for the party they support, no matter how inept their candidate may be.

This is a very interesting topic to talk about. Not only cause there are more and more cases about famous men being pedophiles. But also because there really hasn't been anyone that has been punished for this, because there is not "enough" evidence to convict them of anything. So this paragraph you wrote is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. I believe it is a very negative thing that people will vote in favor of their party regardless of the candidate. On Roy Moore, it is terrible that Donald Trump and some of the Republican party still supports him. I hope that his support diminishes soon and that he will be forced to drop out of the race.
ReplyDeleteYeah, these accusations won't slip by if he does run for president and it will hurt Moore's campaign. This would be the case for any politician who has committed devious acts who are trying to run for president.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that these accusations are being ignore by some of the republican party is indeed awful and more so with people simply voting for their candidates simply because of the political party that they represent rather than their plans for change in the nation.
