Vincent's Senior Project
I thought that Vincent's senior project was very interesting because it involved football and concussions which I have both played and experienced. It was very interesting to see the science behind the impacts and contact in football and to see how it will affect football players in the future. There are a lot of companies who are making big advancements in protecting the players and the sport. This question came up in his documentary but I also want to ask. Do you guys think that football will be outlawed in the future or will these advancements allow the sport to go on?

I think that football is to big of a sport right now to be outlawed. With people still willing to give up there bodies for the sport, means that it will take a lot to die. But if concussions continue to happen even with the new protocols and style helmets and turfs. IT might in the very far far future goes out of business.
ReplyDeleteBuilding off of your point, Quinn, concussions will continue to happen without a doubt. Concussions in football are inevitable simply because football was a drawn up as such a violent and brutal sport. Concussions and impacts can be reduced, but never totally eliminated from football. The only way the NFL goes down under is if people refuse to allow their child to play football. Otherwise, teens are going to keep falling in love with the sport and seeing it as a way to provide for their family and get their parents into a better living situation if they come from a less fortunate family.
