senior projects
I really enjoyed James senior documentary, it made me look at something that I avoid viewing or talking about because I do enjoy eating meat, I find it sad because all these things are done to animals or something I injected in them to modify them. Why do should we have to modify food, it should be able to go through the process and in the documentary James explained how cage-free chickens, are able to go through this certain process I'm not sure what it was again, but I thought it was pretty cool how he gives us an inside of what are or might be eating. It is also sad how some animals are tortured before being killed. It is an important topic that is never really spoken of because lots of people do look at food as just food and not what is behind it.
Military plane crash
On May 2nd, 2018 a military cargo plane crashed killing all 9 passengers. The military is investigating what caused the crash. An official with aircraft said the plane had to be at least 50 years old. On Thursday, they identified that the plane was manufactured in the late 1970's. They don't know what caused the plane to crash.
Childhood Obesity
As I watched Cobi's video, I really liked the ideas he showed for what we should do to prevent childhood obesity, however, I feel like we can't take away fast food completely because it's the small things in life sometimes. Also what about the fast food worker's jobs, and the people's job that grows and get all the ingredients to make each burger. What would be your solution to helping the overall American population reduce the percentage of obesity?

Chinese traveler arrested in mexico after body parts of endangered fish
Mexican law enforcement arrested a Chinese airline passenger arrested after a strong smell coming from his suitcase lead to the discovery of hundreds of endangered fish. Police in the Mexico city airport found a total of " 416 totoaba swim bladders". The swim bladder of this fish is prized in Chinese medicine and it can also reach a total of $20,000 on the black market for one swim bladder. The man was taken into custody and released after paying a $600 fine. Drug cartels and poachers dubbed the swin bladder as the " cocaine of the sea ". Only 30 totoaba remain.
"Slavery being a choice"
It all started with an Instagram post from Kanye West... He posted a picture of himself wearing a red Trump supporting hat with the word "Make America Great Again" across the front. Noting that the image of a black man supporting Trump has a social punch on them and their image when the public sees this. Let alone a successful rapper with a voice and platform to be heard.
Then came an interview with Kanye West and TMZ a celebrity website. During their conversation, Kanye was trying to explain the post saying it was because he was "drugged out". Jumping around with topics he then comes to say "when you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years, that sounds like a choice. *laughs*". Then continues to proceed with a jumpy conversation. To be interpreted by another African American man in the room. A worker who used to look up to Kanye West, but is now disappointed in him and his actions. Telling him phrases like "I'm disappointed, appalled and brother I'm unbelievably hurt by the fact that you have modified into something, to me that's not real. That's the way I feel."
Now social media is going crazy over this trying to get others reactions on the main comment from Kanye West about slavery being a choice. What do you all think? Feel free to look up the video on YouTube or TMZ.com.

Jamie's Senior Project
I really enjoyed Jamie's senior project about free will. It interested me because little do I think about what free will is and if I even take part in it. Although it was slightly confusing the documentary was intriguing. I was constantly trying to understand and grasp my mind around the topic and in what way it applies to me. I also enjoyed how Jamie used her audience as test subjects, in replicating the experiments she studied. It gave us a personal connection to her documentary. Jamie's ability to keep the documentary fascinating, while also providing us with a vast amount of information was very impressive.
Would you want to know?
There are many tests now that can see if you have the gene of Alzheimer's through neurological and physical tests. As someone who has had a family member who has severe Alzheimer, i don't know if i would want to know if i had the gene considering there is no cure found yet. If the test were to come out as negative you would have a huge weight off your shoulders but what if it isn't? Living with Alzheimer's is one thing, but living knowing you might / will get it one day is another. I read many articles on people who got the gene and have a chance of getting it and how they dealt with their results but my question is would you get the test knowing this is a incurable disease especially if you have relatives that have the disease?
