Dine and Dasher
In Pasadena, California, a man known as Paul Gonzales is going around on a dating app and having blind dates with women. While at Mercado restaurant on a blind date he had left a women there with a large bill right after he order a large steak that was quite pricey. This hasn't been the first time that they have heard of this guy dining and dashing. Once the dating app company, Bumble, had figured out who it was, they have kicked him off of the website and told the women that was left that they would pay for her bill. He tells the women that he is getting an unexpected call and needs to take it outside, and then he never returns. Paul has also be caught on film after leaving a hair salon in a smock and everything once they had cut his hair and was just about to blow-dry it. Since this has been several times that he has done this, what could people do to make sure that this doesn't keep happening?

This is very interesting. He is very stealthy and it makes for a interesting story. I think that in order for this to stop justice has to be served, and he should owe for all dine and dashing he participated in.
ReplyDeleteI think its kinda funny how he has gotten out of these situations and am quite amazed with how smooth his exit lines must be in order to get out of paying for all of these things. However I think he should just be fined so that he learns his lesson.
ReplyDeleteI heard about this online and I thought it was pretty interesting. I think that he should fined and face consequences heavy enough to keep him from doing it again.
ReplyDeleteIt's a somewhat comedic situation, but at the same time it is unfair to these women who are just trying to have a good date. He is taking advantage of them and basically stealing, so he should face some legal repercussions.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of you guys. I feel that some of the consequences was that he just had to pay a small fine but if the fine is small, most people will say, "ah that's a small easy fine to pay" and then he will continue to do it. Though if they were smart enough, he should be caught and has to pay all the food bills that he had left and then have to pay another fine after that. This would be a big enough fine that he most likely would not do it again. The fact that he has done this to multiple girls and the bill has been over $100 each time, that totals up quickly and that it a huge fine that he would have to pay at the end.
