Sexual Assault
The documentary in class that we watched last week was very interesting to me considering that sexual assault is a topic that is disturbing and controversial. It is difficult to tell whether or not someone is telling the truth when they report this especially if they do not have evidence. It's even more difficult because most likely the person who committed the crime could blame the victim for a lot of reasons. I then remember someone in class saying that it is easy to commit this crime and get away with it. I agree with this statement only because many people are afraid to speak up about this and the colleges are not punishing the people that are caught doing this. They punish them but not to the extent that they should be. In my opinion, these colleges should enforce harsher punishments that way people will be afraid to commit this crime. What do you guys think?

I agree with what you stated, but that easier said than done. Colleges are huge and man people who are sexually assaulted do not report it. So if enforcing harsher punishments help the college will still have it retained on public record, which is what they are trying to avoid. I think that society needs to change, cause people still go against punishments if if never gets reported.
