The way they dress

I'm sure we all have our own opinions when we hear the words dress code. Recently in our 2nd period Global some of us watched a documentary about a 13 year old girl named Winifred, who we were able to see her everyday life and the things she does and says. We saw the many outfits she put on and a lot of us had a lot to say when shown those videos. A lot of us thought that the outfits were inappropriate for her age. But does age really make something someone puts on okay?. What is a good age for someone to wear some questionable things?. I'm sure we've all seen someone both on and off of campus with an outfit that left us wondering why?. When a 13 year old wears it it was something bad but how about a 15 year old girl wearing the same thing. Can we really say there is an age where something becomes okay?. Or should anyone be able to wear whatever they want?.

  1. I feel like age has a huge part in this because a 15 year old may understand more then maybe a 13 year old.

  2. I think the age should be a lot higher than 13. At thirteen, I feel that the individual wouldn't be knowledgeable enough to know how they come off to others in public. I think they should at least be a sophomore or a junior in high school because they have a little bit more experience in a larger community (high school) of seeing how others react to certain dressing outfit types.
