Afghan hostage shoots Taliban captors, killing seven

A man who was taken hostage in Afghanistan by the terrorist group known as the Taliban. He made a dramatic escape by stealing a gun and shooting 7 dead and wounding 18 others. The man has been identified Awal Khan and he was kidnapped in Pakita which is a city in the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan and Tablian activity is known to happen there.   One 36-year-old police officer who was kidnapped along Khan was killed. During Afternoon prayers Awal managed to escape the handcuffs that were put on him and proceeded to grab a weapon and open fire.  Awal then fled the scene in a pickup truck that belonged to the Taliban he shared details with his brother who is a police commander. Taliban who are often involved in kidnappings hold their hostages for years for prisoner exchanges.
