Rwanda Overview

Rwanda is located in East Africa, completely landlocked. This is the location where the Rwandan Genocide took place against the Tutsi.  By the large majority of the government leaders known as the Hutu. During a 100 day period, 500,000 to 1 million Tutsi were killed. The Genocide was planned by members of core political elite members who ran the top levels in the government. Both the army, militia, and gendarmerie were the perpetrators. Due to the extreme amount of harm that could possibly be inflicted upon the United Nations if claimed a Genocide, many helping countries retrieved their men. Letting the war continue because they would not claim it as a genocide. If it were to, they would have to send help. If you were in charge of one of the United Nations, would you have claimed it as a genocide to help the Tutsi who were being brutally murdered? Or would you have retrieved you men, and prevent spending money and armory on a nation that "doesn't matter"? upright={{{image_upright}}}
