March For Our Lives

On Saturday, there were nation-wide demonstrations protesting gun violence. This march was lead by student survivors from the Parkland shooting last month. Of course gun control discussion is a very contentious subject in our fiercely bipartisan political climate. Some opposers of the march like news commentator Tomi Lahren tweeted things like "Simply being anti-NRA is not a solution. March FOR something, not just against everything.". It is an interesting opinion except Ms. Lahren literally contradicted herself in her own tweet. The official name of the march was "March For Our Lives", emphasis on the "FOR". Many opposers of this movement think that it is a anti-second amendment movement or even a anti-conservative movement, and they could not be more wrong. The children of this country are dying, and the people that are pro-gun are prioritizing guns over the future leaders of this country, and that is unacceptable.
