Gun control specifics

The 2nd amendment or the right to bear arms has been a very controversial topic and people feel strongly about different opinions involving it. Yes, in a perfect world there would be no guns. There would be world peace and everyone would get along. Yet, we know that this is not true. We live in a world with a lot of hate out there, and although we may not necessarily hate others, some people want to feel like they and the ones they love are safe. many people arm themselves to protect them and their families from those out there that may try to hurt them. What is the solution to all this violence?

People believe in many different restrictions on guns and some people believe everything should be legal. People argue that there should not be semiautomatic rifles and pistols because they shoot too fast and can be reloaded too quickly. The same argument is made about automatics. So where is the point that a weapon becomes too dangerous? if the point is to stop someone else with a weapon, isn't the point of it to be dangerous. If by our 2nd amendment right that we believe that if the government were to become corrupt and some terrible leader took control, we are supposed to be able to raise a militia, and you can't fight a government with knives. Some may say that we could not resist the government even with a militia, yet in 2017 a militia held Oregon’s Malheur National Wildlife preserve for 41 days. This is a group that did not have even close to a majority of Americans supporting them and weren't fighting a cause as cruel as Hitler. But this proves that people can make a difference, even with a government as powerful as our own. It is our right to be in a position to make a stand in case our government gets to a point where it is too extreme and corrupt. This still leads to the problem of school shootings and common murder. An argument could be made that gun control actually consumes more lives than it saves because it leaves more people vulnerable. What do you think?
