Would you have done the same?
While watching the videos we seen most of the SS officers abusing many of the prisoners because they wanted and were being told to. Some did the things they did out of fear of being hurt like the Jews if they did not follow orders.While watching i´m sure when many of us heard this point we automatically thought of it as dumb or stupid because no one can force you to do something you do not want to. But if you were in the SS men shoes would you have done the same to save your own life? or would you have gone against orders and face the chances of being killed?.

While watching the film, The SS men did all those things to those prisoners out of fear for there own lives. If they didn't do what they were told they would've been killed. If I was in the SS men shoes I probably would have followed orders but only to an extent.
ReplyDeleteI would not proceed to help, or if i was an SS officer I would use it for good not abuse it. I would probably just think of my kids and what i had going on and relate it back to them. I understand you wouldn't want to kill or any of that but then why support it if you're not that typa person and just following orders.
