The Dangers in the Deep Web

The deep web is a hidden part of the internet that is not accessible through regular search engines such as google chrome. A special browser known as the Tor browser that keeps users anonymous. The deep web gained fame based on the illegal activities that occur.  From sites that perform medical experiments on live humans to animal torture to drug markets, the deep web has it all. In 2013 the FBI shut down the most famous drug market on the deep web known as the eBay from illegal drugs this site sold drugs such a cocaine, marijuana, LSD, and heroin. This site also had weapons fake ID's, Passport and even citizenship. The FBI traced the IP address to a businessman in San Francisco named Ross Ulbricht he was convicted and got life in prison. The deep web is also home to several Pedophilic sites full of child porn. In the site visited by one FBI agent was reported to have a name of the child a list of videos they been in. The site was based in a foreign country and had various sets such as castles and surgery rooms. The children who some were as young as 6 were smothered in makeup this site was the most known pedophilic site on the dark web. In 2016 the FBI ran a fake pedophilic site and tracked down the IP addresses of up to  10,000 men. In parts of the deep web, hitmen offer their services the prices range from as low as up to $ 10,000. In 2017 vice did a report in which they hired a hitman giving a fake address and a picture of a dead relative the hitman used an encrypted email and stated they would be happy to help.   Things to be found on the web are snuff films which are videos and live streams of murder . Users on the darknet have to pay to view these videos in which case they use the bitcoin an online currency that keeps both users anonymous in which case the paid user becomes the director of these films. Cannibalism is also there many others posting on forums and seeks others to kill and eat them as part of a sexual fetish along with instructional videos of limbs being cooked. Finally in the deep web sites that perform Nazi-like experiments on people ranging from being torn limb from limb, starvation, injection of bleach in a pregnant body and infant tolerances to x rays. People who run the sites claim to be doctors and medical students. The test subjects are mainly homeless people picked off the streets and once the died from these experiments their bodies are disintegrated with acid and whatever is left of them are thrown in dumpsters of meat shops in order to not be found. These sites and much more range form the various forums and other things you can find on the deep dark web. Not to be confused with Mariana's web named after the deepest part of the ocean known as the Marianas trench is the darkest part of the internet with only very few being able to visit.

  1. If there is so much Horrible things happening in this site why does the government not shut down this site. Like you said the government has already gone in and looked into this website and they know and have seen what is happening here. Could it be that the people that use this website are also government officials that like these kinds of things. Or could it be that our generation is so sick that they accept all these things that are happening and they find it amusing. Or perhaps its that the website is protect by a group of people and whoever tries to talk against this website gets killed?

    1. I think the main reason is that it's difficult to shut down sites that are based outside of the country with no owner to be found and ultimately no way to shut it down. I don't know too much about that side of the dark web but its a mess of anonymous and illegal interactions which I do not think the FBI has the time or resources to fully deal with.
