A serious topic that has been questioned by many people in America, extensive background checks. There has been this ongoing debate of weather we need intesive bakcground checks when people decide to buy a gun. But the question is will it even work, is there too many guns in America already, where it is very easy to buy a weapon. I watched a video about gun shows and how easy it was to get a weapon. At gun shows they have booths where private sellers sell there gun to other people. Most of the people do not need to perform any background checks all you need is to have cash on hand and your set. In the video the seller was interviewed and he said how he didn't care about the person background or ask why he needed a gun. The seller just said "I came here to sell guns, if he offers me the price I'm asking for Im going to sell the gun." This just shows how easy it is to get yourself a gun.
I think gun shows should be restricted and make background checks a necessity. It works well as long as it is performed with precision, and I think that if we could eliminate gun shows and make it harder to get illegal weapons, we would be much better off.
