Indian Brothel owners get life term for human trafficking

 In India, 2 brothel owners get jailed for life for the trafficking, rape, and abuse of children. A man and his wife were found guilty after 2 brave survivors told police their story.  The courts in India heard the testimonies of up to 9 girls who were rescued during a police raid. Police say that in most cases after children are free they go home to their parents and never come to testify.  The girls told stories of forced abortions rape that they faced and even described how some committed suicide.  One girl was kidnapped at age 11 and forced to have sex with 20 men a day for three years. One of the trailers was arrested after he was spotted in a railway station.  Each of the victims who testified received $7,000 USD for financial compensation.  Police say there is an estimate of 20 million sex workers in India and 16 million were victims of rape and trafficking. The Indian government says there's has been 8,000 cases of human trafficking reported only 28 of these cases went to trial.
