school shooting prevention

With all the school shootings happening lately, there have been many discussions that involve what causes these school shootings and how to prevent future incidents from happening. I will focusing on ideas that could help.

I believe that future incidents of school shootings should not be all over the media like the previous ones had. Yes the people have the right to know, but I believe that some people when they see the attention that the shooters get, they want the attention for themselves and they may even see these other shooters as role models.

I do not beleive in stricter gun control because I believe that if people were called upon to turn in their weapons, only the good people would turn in their weapons, and the villians of society would not. This would lead to the good people being more vulnerable to getting hurt by others because they are defenseless. Instead, I think there should be more thorough background checks for guns and greater punishments for the people responsible of the background check if they are lazy and let something slip by them.

I think there should be more groups at school that welcome in students that are having trouble. Kids without friends should have a place to go.

If this doesn't work, I think that we should treat schools like an airport. Have armed security that works for the government only at the entrance. I don't believe teachers should be given guns because they may be irritated at a student and pop off. Only government security and security being their only job. Only one way in with a metal detector. Some schools do this already, and it may be necessary if people keep dying. I

  1. I agree with this, we should just get security if people think their lives are on the lines, we should have better security no offense and forget about the guns.
