Due to the tragic school shooting in Parkland, Florida that killed 17 students, Donald Trump proposed an idea in where teachers should have guns to protect themselves and students when these types of events occur. This idea has brought some conflicting opinions about it, some say that this could help in shootings and others say that this will cause problems as what is to stop a teacher from shooting the students when they are given a gun. Personally, I believe that teachers shouldn't receive guns because it will cause problems and only give more stress to students in the school. What do you think, should teachers be given guns?
I know why teachers would stress over having a gun, but how will this stress out the students?
ReplyDeleteI don't think teachers should be given guns because you never know how stable they could be, it's just not safe.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that teachers should be given guns. It is not safe whatsoever. An article I read on "The Washington Post", stated that a "gun trained teacher accidentally discharged a firearm in California classroom" and injured a student. This just proves that even someone with gun training can go and hurt their students. Even if it was a "accident", it hurt someone. This could happen again and again if teachers whose only job is to teach have to worry about handling guns.
