The NRA posted a video that said "Stand and Fight for our Kid's Safty by Joining NRA. Today's protests aren't spontaneous. Gun-hating billionaires and Hollywood elites are manipulating and exploiting children as part of their plan to DESTROY the Second Amendment and strip us of our right to defend ourselves and our loved ones."
The NRA is trying to make people think that these marches are going to take away everybody's guns away. Their job is to sell guns, they do this by telling people that they need them for protection. "They want to sell weapons by exploiting people's fears" (The Washington Post).
In my opinion, the marches are not to just completely take everyone's second amendment. People are done and tired of KIDS getting a hold of a gun so easily. They are tired of their friends and family getting murdered. These marches are here to bring awareness and to get there to create stricter gun laws.
Do you think that the NRA is handling this right? Do you think that creating that video with kids saying they are being manipulated is ok?
I belive that the NRA has some good basic ideas but I believe that bringing in children into their protest is bad because guns and violence don't go along with kids. I know that gun protests are mostly made of children and teens but those protest are different because it raises awareness about gun violence.
