Move over, 4/20. California has a new pot holiday: Jan. 1, 2018. As it sets motion a new step for the legalization of marijuana. It’s a date that dispensaries and marijuana consumers have had in their sights ever since Proposition 64 designated it as the official opening of the adult-use market in California.
After a year of anticipation, the big switch is a month away. Even state regulators are happy for whats to come. As the argument continues on whether or not Marijuana should be legalized many states are realizing the advantages of medical marijuana and how it helps people who actually use it correctly. A recent study shows that a record high 64% of Americans support legalizing marijuana for recreational use. Current eight states including Alaska, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maine, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington are in process for legalizing marijuana which shows a strong movement and change in the ballets for legalizing this plant.
This new distribution of marijuana is benefiting these states very generously as it is helping boost the economy and creating over 100,000 of jobs in the marijuana industry making and selling this plant for various uses.
With the increase of acceptance of this drug will also come with an increase in standards and safety protocols which is hopefully soon to come.

I feel like as long as there are safety protocols with Marijuana it's fine to have it although in some cases it's not the best for EVERYONE
