Volume 11 - Michael Brown
In the volume that my group and I were assigned to, we came to the conclusion that Officer Wilson should have been charged with excessive use of force. So far, most of the groups that have gone also came to that conclusion. But one question that keeps reappearing throughout the volumes is: "are the witnesses credible or not?" In my volume, we had one witness confess that she was lying to the police officer just so that she could be involved and used her boyfriend's testimony as hers. And there was another witness in another volume, Michael Brown's friend, that confessed he had lied before. This probably made people doubt whether he was telling the truth in his testimony. The lack of credibility played a big part in the final decision of this case. Because most witnesses were not credible, it was ruled that Officer Wilson was not guilty. Do you think the ruling was fair? Was Officer Wilson really not guilty?

Based off of the volumes that i have heard so far in class, i personally am not able to come to see officer Wilson as guilty. There were not so trust worthy witnesses and from some of the presentations and photos shown of officer Wilson himself it does seem like there could have been some type of self defense played by officer Wilson.
