Volume 12

For the Ferguson project, my group and I where assigned to volume 12. There were many witnesses. We looked through tons of testimony and determined one thing in the end. We thought that Darren Wilson should have been indicted. Looking through there was a lot of contradicting evidence and testimony that would have made it hard. Some witnesses said he had his hands all the way up, some say he had them at shoulder height, and others say he didn’t have them up at all. One of our witnesses even said he thought he saw something in Brown’s hand that looked like a gun. But what was consistent was that when Brown turned around after running away, he was not charging Darren Wilson and was not a threat in general and Wilson should have been able to apprehend him without the use of lethal force.
